As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We're looking for a data architecture lead like you to solve complex challenges and deliver leading-edge solutions for Homeland Security.
As a data architect on our team, you'll use your extensive technical expertise to lead the design of data architecture solutions for big data in a cloud computing environment. You'll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams.
In this role, you'll share your technical expertise, introduce best practices, and use tools like Azure Data Factory to ingest large amounts of data from multiple data sources. You'll lead your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you'll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered.

You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience in data warehouse development, including building enterprise data warehouses, dimensional models or star schema, and data marts, and supporting large-scale reporting environments
  • 6+ years of experience developing scalable ETL/ELT workflows and leveraging Informatica, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, WhereScape, and metadata-driven patterns
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable cloud-based data platforms, including Azure Synapse, ADLS, ADF, Logic Apps, and metadata-driven architectures
  • Experience analyzing, integrating, and transforming data from multiple disparate systems
  • Experience with SQL and Python used in ETL/ELT pipelines, automation, data modeling, and QA validation
  • Experience designing and developing structured and semi-structured data ingestion pipelines
  • Experience performing backend SQL testing, including regression testing, unit testing, column-level validation, and post-deployment QA
  • Experience in data engineering, architecture, and analytics
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems

  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, IT architects, finance, governance teams, and senior leadership

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
