What is a Sr Recruiter?

Sr Recruiters, or Senior Recruiters, are experienced professionals responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process within an organization. They source, screen, and interview candidates for open positions, often focusing on more complex or high-level roles. Sr Recruiters also collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure a positive candidate experience. In addition, they may mentor junior recruiters and contribute to employer branding efforts.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Sr Recruiter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Sr Recruiter, you need expertise in talent acquisition, sourcing strategies, and interviewing, typically supported by a bachelor's degree and significant recruiting experience. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, and knowledge of labor laws are essential. Job description

Senior Recruiter
Location:  Coral Gables, FL
Compensation: $70,000 base + Variable ($140,000 total target Comp)

About ttg
The Senior Recruiter is an experienced individual producer responsible for independently managing complex searches while also managing a portfolio of existing client accounts assigned by ttg. The role combines hands-on recruiting production with direct client ownership, including intake, ongoing communication, service delivery, account retention, and identification of additional hiring opportunities. Senior Recruiters are expected to understand both the talent requirements and the business behind each client relationship, serving as a trusted recruiting partner while progressively developing broader full-desk capabilities.
Position Overview
The Senior Recruiter is an experienced individual producer responsible for independently managing complex searches and delivering high-quality candidates while assuming greater client-facing responsibility. The role remains strongly recruiting-focused, but it represents the first meaningful step toward full-desk capability. Senior Recruiters are expected to understand the business behind the search, participate actively in intake and client communication, and begin developing account-management skills.
What Makes ttg Different
  • AI-Powered ATS: Work in an AI-powered ATS designed to streamline recruiting workflows, reduce administrative friction, and give producers better visibility into activity and pipeline.
  • ttg OPT: Present candidates through ttg OPT, our proprietary candidate-submission platform designed to strengthen candidate presentation and the client experience.
  • Candidate Sourcing Stack: Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job advertising, candidate databases, multi-channel outreach, and AI-enabled sourcing tools to build high-quality pipelines efficiently.
  • Account Ownership: Develop and own selected client relationships, expand accounts, and become a trusted partner while working in a lean structure with limited internal overlap.
  • Full-Desk & Earnings Growth: Build from recruiting strength into account management and business development, increasing commercial ownership and the opportunity for greater financial freedom through performance-based upside.

What You'll Do
  • Independently manage multiple full-cycle searches, including complex, priority, and strategically important assignments.
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships through account expansion and upselling opportunities.
  • Lead sourcing, qualification, interviewing, candidate presentation, offer support, and closing activities.
  • Conduct and participate in detailed client intake and search-strategy discussions and advise stakeholders on talent availability, compensation, and realistic search expectations.
  • Develop deep knowledge of assigned markets, practice areas, competitive talent conditions, and client business needs.
  • Produce consistently high-quality candidate submissions, profiles, videos, and supporting materials and present qualified talent through ttg OPT.
  • Build and expand professional candidate pipelines, networks, and referral channels.
  • Develop and manage selected hiring-manager and client relationships, support account retention, and help expand opportunities within those accounts.
  • Mentor Recruiters when appropriate and model ttg's recruiting standards, technology usage, and operating discipline.
  • Meet established individual margin, placement, quality, activity, and client-service expectations.
  • Identify new business opportunities uncovered through recruiting and client activity and progressively develop toward full-desk responsibility.

What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
  • 3+ years of demonstrated full-cycle recruiting success, preferably in agency, staffing, executive, professional, or high-volume recruiting.
  • Strong sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment, closing, and candidate relationship-management capability.
  • Strong client-facing communication with the ability to participate credibly in intake, search strategy, and account discussions.
  • Ability to manage complex searches independently while maintaining strong follow-through, judgment, and data discipline.
  • High integrity, reliability, accountability, and a team-first mindset; coachable, curious, and motivated to grow commercially.
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms, sourcing technology, and modern recruiting tools.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Prior full-desk/360, account-management, or business-development exposure.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and advanced Boolean search techniques.
  • Practical use of AI tools to improve sourcing, candidate research, outreach, submissions, or workflow efficiency.
  • Mentoring or informal leadership experience; Bachelor's degree preferred; Spanish is a plus.
