Job description

About Suno

We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfillment of making music. Music is for everyone: Our users include everyone from grandmothers creating songs for their loved ones, to Grammy winners using Suno Studio, our power tool, to make the most popular hits in the world.

Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it’s incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.

Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, Quiet, Matrix Partners, Schroders Capital and, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).

About the Role

Suno is standing up an Artists & Creators pod, and our first major focus is Songkick.com — our newly acquired live music and ticketing product. We're hiring an early team to take technical ownership of Songkick within Suno across the stack: the backend, the website, the mobile app, the data pipelines, and the notification systems that power it. You'll report to the Songkick Engineering Manager and work closely with the Songkick General Manager, our Product Manager, and our Music teams to help define how this team tracks success and grows. Early on, the work is hands-on and diverse — understanding the existing system deeply, stabilizing it, and finding the integration points that make Songkick and Suno stronger together. Over time, this role has real influence over the roadmap, engineering best practices, and leaving a handprint on Suno's Artists & Creators engineering team.

Check out the Suno version of the role here! https://suno.com/s/emzEA5oPeNN6dxK2

What You'll Do
  • Own part of the Songkick product end-to-end, wherever you’re strongest — from backend, mobile app (React Native, iOS + Android), data pipelines, and notifications

  • Lead the technical integration of Songkick into Suno, partnering with the Songkick Engineering Manager, Product Manager, incoming General Manager, and our existing engineering team to identify what to build next

  • Architect and maintain data aggregation systems that ingest, normalize, and score touring and event data from dozens of sources into a single canonical record

  • Assess a large, established codebase and make clear-eyed calls about what to preserve, modernize, or retire

  • Design APIs consumed by mobile clients, working directly with the teams building on top of them

  • Extend Suno's mission of making creative fulfillment a daily reality into how fans discover and experience live music

What You'll Need

Must-Haves

  • 5–10 years of software engineering experience, with a demonstrated hunger to stay close to the code and the end user

  • An ownership mentality — you enjoy taking a large, ambiguous product space and running with it end-to-end

  • Startup experience shipping quickly in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

  • Strong API design skills, having worked closely with iOS/Android or other mobile teams

  • A flexible set of communication styles — you reduce entropy rather than create it, pride yourself on your ability to write, as well as facilitate live discussions with stakeholders ranging in level of technical expertise

  • Experience working with modern agentic coding workflows, including E2E testing harnesses, reusable skills, and defining clear success criteria

  • Enthusiasm for rapid learning, regardless of whether technology and tools are brand new or legacy

  • A preference for deeply collaborative environments

Experience with a few of the following:

  • Experience building systems that ingest data from 20+ sources, normalize it, score or weight it by source reliability, apply survivorship rules, and store a canonical record

  • Strong SQL and NoSQL experience

  • Strong data modeling and system architecture skills at scale

  • Tuning Web, Android, and/or iOS performance metrics with a healthy fear of red numbers

  • Building out a design system to accelerate development whilst keeping a consistent feel

  • Experience retrofitting design systems

Nice-to-Haves

  • Hands-on experience with React Native and/or Ruby on Rails

  • Experience building or maintaining email or push notification systems

This Role is a Match for Candidates Who:

  • Thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments — you don't need everything mapped out to move forward

  • Bring low ego and high versatility, equally at ease debugging a small fix or driving a major project

  • Get energy from rapid prototyping and iteration — you'd rather ship something rough and refine it than wait for perfect

  • Have a genuine passion for music and live events, and want that passion reflected in your work

Additional Notes:
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

  • This is an in-person role working at our Cambridge, NYC, LA offices.

Perks & Benefits
  • Company Equity Package

  • 401(k) with 3% Employer Match & Roth 401(k)

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance (PPO w/ HSA & FSA options)

  • 11 Paid Holidays + Unlimited PTO & Sick Time

  • 16 Weeks of Paid Parental Leave

  • Creative Education Stipend

  • Generous Commuter Allowance

  • In-Office Lunch (5 days per week)

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $ $228K-$363K + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401k)
