About the Role
Ryobi Die Casting is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our Plant 1 facility on the 2nd shift. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, safety compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, technical knowledge of dimensional measurements, and the ability to work collaboratively with production supervisors and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in safety, quality, and housekeeping programs as established within the plant
  • Perform job tasks to reduce environmental impact and adhere to environmental regulations and recycling procedures for waste disposal
  • Comply with all plant rules, safety regulations, and job hazard analysis requirements
  • Understand and perform visual and dimensional checks of products
  • Review dimensional data and understand CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) data
  • Approve parts for release to production
  • Place castings "on hold" when not acceptable or suspect
  • Complete all required paperwork with great accuracy in a timely manner
  • Assist production supervisors and engineers in resolution of problems
  • Perform roaming inspection on the die cast and finish floors
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
  • Able to work in plant conditions including exposure to noise, fumes, and cleaning chemicals
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures
Work Environment
  • Approximately 50% office/inspection area work; 50% production floor work
  • 2nd shift schedule
  • Must be able to work with manufacturing teams in a collaborative environment
