Responsibilities:

• Serve as McKissack's senior representative and trusted advisor to school district leadership, stakeholders, and project teams.

• Lead multiple capital projects and program initiatives through planning, design, procurement, construction, occupancy, and closeout.

• Provide strategic oversight of project scope, budget, schedule, risk, quality, and stakeholder management across a portfolio of bond-funded projects.

• Manage and mentor Project Managers, Construction Managers, Coordinators, and support staff to promote consistency, accountability, and professional development.

• Lead project controls efforts including schedule management, cost forecasting, change management, and performance reporting.

• Review and evaluate design progress, constructability, procurement strategies, and project execution plans to support successful project delivery.

• Facilitate executive-level meetings with district leadership, consultants, contractors, and community stakeholders.

• Support district leadership in the development and implementation of bond program strategies, reporting requirements, and governance processes.

• Resolve complex project issues and disputes through proactive coordination and problem solving.

• Monitor compliance with bond program requirements, district standards, procurement regulations, and contractual obligations.

• Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities throughout design and construction.

• Prepare and present executive reports, program updates, and project performance metrics to district leadership and governing bodies.

• Support community outreach efforts, board presentations, public meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities.

• Identify program risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project objectives and client expectations.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery performance, communication, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Program Management, or related field.

• 10+ years of progressive experience managing large capital construction programs, preferably within K-12 bond programs, educational facilities, municipal, or public-sector environments.

• Minimum 5 years serving in a senior leadership role managing multiple projects, project teams, or program portfolios.

• Demonstrated experience as an Owner's Representative, Program Manager, Senior Project Manager, or PM/CM on complex capital programs.

• Direct experience supporting school bond programs, capital improvement programs, or large public-sector construction initiatives preferred.

• PMP, CCM, PE, RA, DBIA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.

• Strong knowledge of program management principles, construction delivery methods, project controls, cost management, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.

• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent projects in active and occupied environments.

• Experience presenting to executive leadership, school district leadership, governing boards, and community stakeholders.

• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems including Procore, Oracle Primavera Unifier, e-Builder, P6, or similar platforms.

• Ability to work throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and attend project, district, and community meetings as required.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Compensation:

Salary range: $140,000 - $165,000/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competency, travel requirements)
