Position Overview


Pike is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of medium to large-scale utility infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, including scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, risk management, and client satisfaction.


The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for project performance and plays a key role in building strong client relationships, leading project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of utility infrastructure projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and overall project performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead contract administration, change order management, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, invoicing, and cash flow management.
  • Facilitate project meetings, including kickoff meetings, status reviews, and client updates.
  • Ensure compliance with Pike safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project managers and other project team members.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of project management experience within the utility, power delivery, energy, telecommunications, or infrastructure industries.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation through completion.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration.
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of project financials, forecasting, and cost controls.

Preferred Experience

  • Transmission and Substation (T&S) experience.
  • Utility construction, engineering, or EPC project management experience.
  • Experience managing fixed-price, time-and-material, cost-plus, and unit-rate contracts.
  • Track record of successfully delivering large-scale utility or infrastructure projects.
