Senior Project Manager - Equipment Delivery Management - Natrium
The Senior Project Manager, Equipment Delivery Management (EDM) leads the Equipment Delivery PM organization, overseeing a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators. This role is responsible for achieving strategic project goals, driving cost reduction and efficiency, ensuring excellence in earned value management, proactive issue prevention, robust risk management, and building a high-performing team. The Senior PM partners closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, and other stakeholders to deliver critical equipment packages on schedule and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical rigor.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
  • Build, lead, and develop the Equipment Delivery PM team, including PMs and PCs, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and execution-focused culture.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and integration of new hires and transferred employees; mentor and coach team members for professional growth and effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain the organizational structure, roles, and operating model for the EDM PM group, including clear RACI alignment with Supply Chain Management and Engineering teams.

Strategic Project Execution
  • Identify and implement major cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within the project scope, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and technical requirements.
  • Drive proactive issue identification, prevention, and early resolution, minimizing reliance on formal escalation and schedule control mechanisms.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and improvement of tracking systems to ensure clear visibility, alignment, and integration of collaboration between TerraPower and partner organizations.

Earned Value Management (EVM) & Cost Control
  • Establish and reinforce strong EVM practices within the team, ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable performance data for effective project control and decision-making.
  • Hold full cost account management leadership for equipment packages.
  • Review and validate EVM data, coach team members in EVM principles, and drive identification of root causes and corrective actions for performance variances.

Risk Management & Issue Resolution
  • Drive disciplined and proactive risk management, ensuring risks are current, actionable, and reflective of project reality.
  • Conduct regular risk reviews, validate risk quality, and ensure risks are used as a decision-making tool.
  • Guide PMs and PCs in identifying meaningful risks and developing effective mitigation strategies.

Schedule Adherence & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure schedule adherence (>= 90%) through planning discipline, execution ownership, and proactive issue management.
  • Analyze missed commitments, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in planning and execution reliability.
  • Maintain alignment between tracking systems and integrated project schedules.

Stakeholder Engagement & Corporate Initiatives
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, and other stakeholders to mature opportunities and drive alignment.
  • Support investment-related corporate initiatives, including strategic investors, financial investors, and U.S. Government reporting requirements.

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, supply chain, or a related technical discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in project management, supply chain oversight, or equipment delivery on major capital programs, with demonstrated cost account management or EVMS experience.
  • Experience on nuclear, energy, defense, or heavy industrial capital projects strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex workflows, and drive organizational development.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of earned value management systems (EVMS), integrated master scheduling, and milestone governance.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile), and tools such as Jira, Power BI, Planner, and Confluence.
  • Commitment to trust, integrity, open communication, and fostering teamwork.
