Job description

R&P is seeking an experienced Production Analyst to serve as Task Lead for the DDG 1000 Shipbuilding Program (PMS 500). PMS 500 is responsible for the design, construction, outfitting, testing, fleet introduction, and modernization of DDG 1000 Destroyer Zumwalt Class ships. Work will be performed at R&P Technologies’ Washington D.C. office location.


  • Serve as Task Lead, supervise, and train a hybrid team of local and remote analysts.
  • Support the following program/project areas: program management, production, modernization, and operations.
  • Support new construction and modernization shipboard testing, certifications, and trials.
  • Participate in at-sea ship trials and trial card pre-screening.
  • Provide periodic trial card reports.
  • Review, track, and assess Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Information (GFI) schedules and deliveries.
  • Provide Final Contract Trial (FCT) availability and Post Repair Trial (PRT) planning functions.
  • Coordinate with waterfront teams, industry partners, ship’s crew, fleet and government stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and supervise use of automation tools to identify problem areas, trends, relationships, and conflicts utilizing export data from scheduling programs.
  • Identify ship production trends, provide forecasts, and provide status of ship production progress.
  • Prepare program/project briefings, plans, concept papers, white papers, meeting minutes, action item reports, and other required program planning documentation.
  • Work with vendors and government stakeholders to develop and review Integrated Master Schedules and align work package requirements.
  • Create queries and produce custom reports from databases.
  • Develop documentation, reports, and project plans for internal and external consumption.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and/or lead project/program meetings and events.

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least 15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Power Point, and Excel.
  • US Citizen
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to travel up to 15% to support customer requirements
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and alongside others in a team setting
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding (design, production, test and trials), U.S. Navy HM&E Systems and Post Delivery
  • Formal education in Industrial Engineering or Project Management preferred
  • Experience working with or for US Navy / Shipyard or NAVSEA preferred
  • Experience utilizing Power Automate and Power BI preferred
