Position: Sr. Process Engineer / Project Engineer (Process)

Location: Waukegan, IL 60087 onsite

Duration: 24+ Months


I am looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join my Sterling Engineering team. This is a hands-on role supporting API/drug substance process equipment from design and specification through procurement, installation, commissioning, and startup.


Qualifications Required

  • 10+ years of Process Engineering / Project Engineering experience with Reactors, vessels, tanks, mixers, pumps, filtration, and heat exchangers
  • Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, datasheets, and URS documents
  • Conduct Vendor design reviews and FAT/SAT
  • Equipment installation, field support, commissioning, and startup
  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, API, drug substance, or specialty chemical manufacturing
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline required.
