Division Specific Information:
This role is in the Single Use Division (SUD) and will be performed on-site at our Logan, Utah location. Relocation assistance is NOT provided.

How You Will Make an Impact:
As a Sr. Manager, Engineering & Automation you will be a transformational engineering leader who will build the technical capabilities required for our next decade of growth. This individual will lead the automation strategy, capital investment, manufacturing engineering, facilities, and maintenance while developing high-performing teams. The individual will be leading change in complex manufacturing environments, solving cross-functional business challenges, and will be influential in building the future rather than maintaining the present.
Day in the Life:
  • Develop and execute a multi-year engineering, automation, and capital investment strategy aligned with business priorities, operational goals, and long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of capital projects, ensuring safe, on-time, and cost-effective delivery while maximizing operational value and return on investment.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement, Finance, and other cross-functional leaders to improve manufacturing performance, equipment reliability, process capability, and customer responsiveness.
  • Drive the adoption of automation, digital manufacturing technologies, and data-driven decision making to enhance operational efficiency and support business transformation.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the engineering organization by recruiting, developing, and coaching a high-performing team while building leadership capability and succession plans for critical technical roles.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the engineering function.
  • Serve as a key member of the site leadership team, influencing operational strategy, evaluating business risks, prioritizing investments, and aligning engineering capabilities with future business and customer needs.
  • Champion long-term manufacturing transformation initiatives that strengthen technical capabilities, improve organizational agility, and support sustainable site growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of related manufacturing engineering experience, including 6 years of leadership experience leading technical teams required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Demonstrated success leading engineering organizations within regulated manufacturing environments, including developing high-performing teams, driving organizational change, and achieving operational excellence.
  • Proven experience leading capital planning and execution, including budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and project delivery from concept through implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing automation, industrial control systems, digital manufacturing technologies, and reliability engineering, with the ability to drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, GMP, quality systems, validation, change control, environmental health and safety (EHS), and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience developing capital investment strategies, managing budgets, evaluating return on investment, and aligning engineering initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, develop technical talent, and build high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, strategic problem-solving, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to lead complex technical and operational initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering or manufacturing business systems, with the ability to leverage technology and data to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • This is a fully on-site role.
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment up to 12 hours a day with additional overtime as required.
  • Willingness to travel as required (<25%)
