Job description

Job Summary:
VTG is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to support a mission-focused customer in the development of a Radio Frequency Processing System. The role involves analyzing user requirements, debugging software, creating scalable systems, and collaborating with other engineers to meet project needs.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects using a variety of programming languages (Examples: Java, Python, Rust, C++)
• Create and maintain a scalable, high-availability, mission system using modern system design principles.
• Create docker containers and/or Kubernetes pods and clusters.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
• Generate automation scripts as appropriate to improve workflow and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
• TS/SCI with Poly required
• Bachelor’s degree + 7 years’ as a SWE
• Web Dev (VueJS or React)
• Familiar with: REST, Node JS, Python
