What you'll be able to do:
Prudent Engineering is seeking a Construction Inspector, NICET II with bridge or highway experience for a position in Buffalo and surrounding areas, to start in April/May of 2026. The Construction inspector, NICET II, is responsible for overseeing and inspecting construction projects at various stages to ensure compliance with project plans, project specifications and regulations.
The minimum requirements we seek:
  • NICET II certification or equivalent experience.
  • Prior New York State DOT and/or New York State Thruway inspection experience or similar experience working on bridge or Highway construction projects.
  • Proficiency in computer aided project administration is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • OSHA 10 certification & knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to construction sites.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to and on the construction sites.
