Job Summary

The Warehouse Supply Chain Inbound Financial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational accuracy of inbound warehouse activities. This position works closely with Receiving, Inventory Control, Procurement, Transportation, Accounting, and Operations to ensure inbound product, invoices, purchase orders, inventory transactions, and associated costs are accurate and properly reconciled.

The ideal candidate combines strong warehouse/supply chain knowledge with financial analysis, reporting, and problem-solving skills. This role supervises inbound financial processes, identifies discrepancies and cost variances, improves inventory and receiving accuracy, and provides management with actionable reporting to support operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily financial and administrative activities associated with inbound warehouse operations.
• Monitor purchase orders, receiving records, invoices, freight charges, and inventory transactions for accuracy.
• Reconcile inbound shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, receiving documentation, and vendor invoices.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies involving quantities, pricing, damages, shortages, overages, and unauthorized charges.
• Track inbound freight, transportation costs, product costs, and other supply chain expenses.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Partner with Accounting and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Work closely with Receiving and Inventory Control to ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately and timely.
• Monitor receiving accuracy and investigate variances between physical product and system records.
• Develop and maintain financial, inventory, receiving, and operational reports.
• Track key performance indicators related to inbound costs, receiving accuracy, inventory adjustments, vendor discrepancies, and financial performance.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and variance reporting.
• Review vendor performance and identify recurring issues affecting cost, inventory accuracy, or operational efficiency.
• Support audits by maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial controls.
• Establish and improve processes that increase inbound accuracy, reduce financial discrepancies, and improve operational efficiency.
• Supervise, train, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance, accuracy, productivity, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Transportation, Procurement, Finance, and senior Operations leadership to resolve issues and improve supply chain performance.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, vendor, inventory, and operational information.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, inventory control, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse receiving and inbound supply chain processes.
• Experience with purchase orders, invoices, receiving documentation, inventory transactions, and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience working with WMS, ERP, inventory, or financial systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify financial and operational discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced distribution center environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience in food distribution, grocery, manufacturing, or high-volume distribution.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience with warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with operational/financial dashboards.
