Our client, a leading environmental consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Geologist with a Professional Geologist (PG) License or on track to receive one soon to join their team. This role focuses on water resource projects within Florida's ecosystems, emphasizing environmental restoration and remediation. The successful candidate will bring a proven ability to manage hazardous waste site investigations, groundwater remediation, and regulatory compliance while utilizing advanced tools and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead water resource and environmental restoration projects with a focus on Florida ecosystems.
  • Conduct complex hazardous waste site investigations, including groundwater and soil assessments.
  • Design and implement innovative and cost-effective remediation strategies to achieve regulatory closure or permit compliance.
  • Serve as the technical liaison with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) under the BPSS Preapproval Program and Petroleum Restoration Program.
  • Perform hazardous waste management and environmental site due diligence services.
  • Develop detailed technical reports, remediation plans, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and mentor junior staff.

Tools and Certifications:
  • Utilize advanced tools and software such as:
    • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping and data analysis.
