Position OverviewWe are seeking a Financial Controller to lead the accounting operations and financial reporting functions for our diverse portfolio of entities. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic financial oversight with day-to-day accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to support both corporate functions and real estate-specific activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, billing, and bank reconciliations
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for multiple entities
Manage cash flow, escrow accounts, and financial compliance
Monitor and track construction costs, tenant billing, and lease-related accounting
Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data
Collaborate with senior management and department leads to support business decisions
Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial institutions as needed
Optimize accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications5–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management
Strong understanding of general ledger, financial statements, and bank reconciliations
Experience with multi-entity accounting and escrow tracking
Familiarity with real estate transactions and lease accounting
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with Sage 300 CRE is a plus)
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
CPA certification preferred but not required
