We are seeking a Senior Director, Marketing Strategy to serve as a key strategic leader within our Marketing organization. This individual will define, align, and operationalize GNC's enterprise marketing strategy, ensuring all initiatives across brand, digital, media, lifecycle, and omnichannel are grounded in insight, aligned to business priorities, and focused on measurable growth.
This role will partner closely with Merchandising, eCommerce, Analytics, Finance, and Executive Leadership to translate company strategy into clear marketing priorities, roadmaps, and investment decisions that drive traffic, revenue, customer growth, and long-term brand equity.
What You'll Do:
This is a Full-Time Salary Position
Enterprise Marketing Strategy
  • Lead development of GNC's short- and long-term marketing strategy aligned to enterprise growth objectives.
  • Define enterprise marketing priorities, target audiences, and key growth initiatives.
  • Translate business goals into clear strategic priorities across brand, digital, performance marketing, lifecycle, and omnichannel initiatives.
  • Establish strategic guardrails that guide campaign, channel, and creative decision making.
  • Own the what, why, and when of enterprise marketing strategy.

Enterprise Planning, Prioritization & Initiative Strategy
  • Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning in partnership with Merchandising, Retail, Ecom, Operations and Finance.
  • Drive initiative prioritization, sequencing, and resource alignment based on impact, feasibility, and commercial return.
  • Lead strategy development for enterprise initiatives.
  • Oversee development of strategic and creative briefs for major initiatives and campaigns.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to ensure execution plans are clear, resourced, and aligned to outcomes.

Market, Customer & Competitive Insights
  • Own customer, market, and competitive insights that inform marketing strategy.
  • Partner with Analytics and Research teams to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging risks.
  • Use insights to guide audience strategy, messaging frameworks, and channel prioritization.

Growth & Commercial Alignment
  • Partner with eCommerce and Performance Marketing leaders to align marketing strategy with revenue, acquisition, retention, and LTV goals.
  • Support prioritization of growth initiatives based on impact, scalability, and ROI.
  • Ensure marketing strategies balance near-term performance with long-term brand and customer value.

Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Marketing leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Partner with Finance to support budget planning, investment prioritization, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Product, Digital, Retail, and Supply Chain teams to ensure marketing strategies are executable and integrated.

Performance Visibility & Strategic Measurement
  • Define success metrics and KPIs for major marketing initiatives in partnership with Analytics.
  • Ensure leadership has clear visibility into progress, risks, and performance outcomes.
  • Use performance insights to continuously refine strategy and priorities.

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:
  • Hybrid work environment, 3 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include long periods of computer screen usage, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing strategy, growth strategy, or commercial strategy.
  • Strong background in consumer, retail, omnichannel, or health & wellness environments.
  • Proven experience shaping enterprise or multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Experience partnering closely with senior marketing, digital, and commercial leaders.
  • Prior people leadership experience preferred.
  • Currently living in or willing to relocate to Pittsburgh, PA.
