Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities
• Works under immediate supervision of senior team members.
• Must Follow all defined instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Designs in CAD electrical control panel layouts, bills of materials and schematics.
• Program PLCs for control systems that include field devices such as photoeyes, shaft encoders, barcode scanners, solenoids, scales, VFDs, E-stops and other I/O devices.
• Assists with the creation and teaching of associated training.
• Assists with project commissioning and troubleshooting of system installations.
• Perform control system inspections and verification to ensure installation quality and compliance with documentation
• Verify that actual work matches all documentation.
• Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. This includes supporting Mechanical and Electrical Field installers.
Requirements
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or like equivalent from an accredited Institution
• 0-2 years of related experiences
• Has knowledge of commonly-used controls engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
• Must pass drug screening and background check
• Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds and climb ladders
• Ability to understand and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Ability to understand manufacturer data sheets and apply them in practice
• Ability to configure PLC's, HMI's, computers, networks, cameras, field instrumentation devices, and variable frequency drives which are used to control sorters, conveyors, and other related equipment
• Ability to code, C/C++, JAVA, Matlab, Python or IEC 61131 Languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block)
• Ability to develop electrical documentation packages, descriptions of operations, interfaces between systems, and be on-site during startup to coordinate and help resolve issues
• Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship skills with engineering groups, customers, suppliers and subcontractors
• A self-managed individual who is a team player
• Ability to travel, work weekends, holidays and overtime when required (up to 90% of the year).

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans
