Job description

The position is for a Business Process Analyst and focuses on reengineering existing solutions into performance-based IT services and repeatable solutions. Our team is looking for experience supporting a cloud-based, large-scale enterprise with multiple applications and integrating new technologies to optimize efficiency and improve performance.


**This government position REQUIRES US Citizenship and to be in Ashburn, VA, twice a week**

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis and documentation of complex as-is and to-be functionality across multiple applications and business domains
  • Ensure a team of 15 meets the documented requirements in implementing a workflow and rules-based solution integrating various components, subsystems, or processes using the Agile Methodology
  • Analyze current processes to formulate and develop new and modified software-based to-be solutions and identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Regularly employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new solutions and systems to achieve functional objectives
  • Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members. May communicate with parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.). Work to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches
  • Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies including cloud services

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with CBP PSPD applications
  • 5 years of experience leading Systems Engineering and Business Process Analysis activities
  • 10 years of experience in implementing software solutions
  • 20 years of experience in the software industry
  • Experience with workflows and rules engines
  • Experience in Java including extensive knowledge of modern Java architectures
  • Experience with PostgeSQL and CloudNative technologies
  • Experience evaluating business needs, requirements to identify appropriate solutions, and ability to resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience applying a continuous integration/deployment approach to project or program delivery; this includes adapting to changing requirements, fostering collaboration, and rapidly delivering high quality solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the senior levels of management and the Customer
  • Experience executing process improvement for large scale programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in supporting refactoring of legacy systems
  • Familiarity with AI concepts
  • DHS/CBP Public Trust Clearence
  • Experience in the following tools and/or technologies:
  • JDK21, gRPC, Agile modern best-practices
  • WebServices including REST and SOAP interface development
  • Git
  • Harness
  • AWS EKS
  • Messaging solutions for app-DB and app-app interfaces
