Job description

We are seeking an experienced Backend Python Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable backend applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python-based backend development, RESTful APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and software development best practices. This position supports mission-critical applications in a highly secure environment and requires an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Python.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including database design, queries, optimization, and data modeling.
Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, security teams, architects, and other stakeholders.
Implement secure coding practices and ensure applications meet applicable security requirements.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Work with containerized applications using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Integrate backend services with cloud infrastructure and enterprise systems.
Monitor application performance, reliability, and availability.
Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and API documentation.
Support continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and engineering standards.
