Role Overview

Seeking a Sr. Azure Data Engineer / Technical Lead who is highly hands-on with Azure data engineering and can lead a distributed team. This person will manage 2 onsite Data Engineers and 3 offshore Data Engineers in India, while remaining actively involved in architecture, coding, troubleshooting, and production support.

Must-Have Technical Skills

  • 8+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Azure Data Engineering
  • Databricks – strong hands-on experience
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Microsoft Fabric / OneLake
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Strong SQL & Data Modeling
  • ETL/ELT & enterprise data pipelines
  • Production support, troubleshooting & performance tuning
  • Medallion Architecture – Bronze/Silver/Gold
  • Power BI / DirectLake exposure

Leadership Requirements

  • Experience as a Technical Lead / Lead Data Engineer
  • Ability to manage and mentor onsite and offshore resources
  • Experience working with distributed/offshore teams
  • Set technical standards, review code/designs and provide technical direction
  • Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer skills
  • Proactive, self-sufficient and comfortable handling production issues

Preferred

  • Microsoft Fabric production experience/certification
  • Dynamics 365 F&O data experience
  • Experience migrating from legacy Azure data platforms to Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience supporting financial/operational reporting
