As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) at Sunny Square, your specific duties will include:

• Facilitating engaging group therapy sessions designed to promote camaraderie and support among clients, allowing them to share experiences and learn collaboratively.
• Providing one-on-one individual therapy through personalized treatment plans that consider clients’ thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
• Developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients that target their specific goals and needs, ensuring they have a clear path to success.
• Monitoring and assessing clients’ progress through the use of standardized assessment tools and regular feedback to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Actively participating in a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care, sharing updates, and consulting on complex clinical cases to ensure all clients receive the best possible outcomes.

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are navigating significant mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional disturbances. This age group often experiences transitional challenges, and your role will be crucial in providing guidance, support, and effective treatment strategies aimed at fostering resilience and recovery.

The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:

• A master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license in Illinois.

While not mandatory, ideal candidates will have:

• Experience working with young adults in a clinical or community-based setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and holistic approaches.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills necessary for working within a multidisciplinary team.
