Application Systems Analyst / Programmer – BI & Tableau Administrator
Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid – 80% Remote, 20% Onsite)

Job Summary
The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking an experienced BI/Tableau Administrator to support and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Tableau Cloud administration, Azure SQL support, Salesforce reporting environments, and troubleshooting data integration issues across multiple platforms.
This role requires a proactive professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who can independently drive initiatives, support production environments, and collaborate with technical and business teams.

Responsibilities
Administer Tableau Cloud environments, including sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, and security.
Monitor platform health, scheduled jobs, subscriptions, and extract refresh processes.
Troubleshoot Tableau performance, connectivity, and reporting issues.
Support report developers, business analysts, and end users.
Deploy and promote reports across Development, Test, and Production environments.
Support Azure SQL Database environments used for enterprise reporting.
Investigate data discrepancies and perform data validation activities.
Monitor database connectivity, query performance, and data refresh operations.
Troubleshoot SQL and SOQL-related issues and optimize performance.
Monitor and support Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines.
Identify and resolve data load failures and data quality issues.
Support MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) integrations impacting reporting platforms.

Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Tableau Administration, or Analytics Platform Support.
Strong experience administering Tableau Cloud and supporting enterprise reporting platforms.
Experience with Salesforce data models, objects, fields, relationships, profiles, permission sets, and security.
Strong SQL skills with experience supporting Azure SQL Database or similar relational databases.
Experience managing user access, permissions, security, and environment administration.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and drive projects from requirements through implementation.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF).
Experience supporting Salesforce reporting and analytics environments.
Microsoft Azure platform experience.
Experience with production support, incident management, and platform monitoring.
