Job Summary:

Responsible for the Design and development of company databases. Responsible for managing multiple technical development projects and providing guidance to both onshore and offshore teams.


Job Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Design and implement Database Objects to maintain the organizational data and maintain the integrity of the relational data.
  • Design and Implement Database procedures and complex queries to retrieve data for different needs of the organization.
  • Guide Application development teams walk through the data models and help them create data retrieval queries.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
  • Data Transformations, ETL programming from Origin to Source Data Mapping capabilities.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
  • Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Review procedures in database management system manuals for making changes to database.
  • Revise company definition of data as defined in data dictionary.
  • Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
  • Establish and calculate optimum values for database parameters, using manuals and calculator.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:


  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering, Masters preferred
  • Must be skilled at establishing and maintaining consistency of a products performance, function and physical attributes.
  • 7+ years’ experience with Oracle Database Development, strong PL/SQL programming and performance tuning
  • 3+ years of experiencing modeling Databases
  • Good understanding data retrieval procedures adopted by applications
  • Experience with UNIX, Shell scripting
  • Familiarity with XML, T-SQL.
  • Ability to extract, compare, manage data in a database
