Job Summary:
OVA.Work is seeking an experienced SQL Senior Engineer who will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining complex database systems. The role focuses on performance tuning, data integrity, and supporting high-availability, data-driven applications.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis
• Manage large datasets and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
• Collaborate with application and backend teams to design efficient data models
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and production issues
• Implement database security, access control, and compliance best practices
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and backups
• Monitor database health and proactively identify performance bottlenecks
• Document database designs, standards, and operational procedures
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Strong expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
• Experience with indexing strategies, partitioning, and performance tuning
• Solid understanding of database design, normalization, and data modeling
