Job Description

IT-Specialist for Manufacturing Data Analysis 

The IT-Specialist for Manufacturing Data Analysis plays a key role in the field of Yield Enhancement of XYZ's brand new technology. The main responsibilities of this role are setup and maintenance of IT applications for product grading during frontend processing.

The role will also require involvement in yield trend monitoring using advanced data analysis methodologies and software. The role supports the Yield Enhancement team in all yield and defect density related tasks.

The role will be based in ABC. However occasional business travel may also be required.

Key areas of responsibilities 

  • Definition, design, test, implementation and maintenance of IT applications for manufacturing data acquisition and analysis
  • Database structure and algorithms for product grading
  • Modification and development of IT solutions to support product diversity
  • Support and sustaining of manufacturing IT systems
  • Consultancy and training to IT application users, creation of manuals and training materials
  • Close collaboration with yield enhancement engineers in the field of data correlation of yield and quality issues down to failure root cause 

Key competencies 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences or a related discipline
  • Excellent knowledge in SQL and ORACLE DBMS
  • Excellent Java programming skills
  • Basic programming skills in HTML, PHP, JavaScript, XML, WebServices, Shell
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows Server
  • Good knowledge in manufacturing IT systems (MDA, MES, Line Works SPACE)
  • Good knowledge in data analysis/correlation (experienced user of data mining and analysis tools like Spot fire, Cornerstone, JMP or Minitab)
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to approach process issues in a structured manner under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Organizational skills and continuous improvement approach
  • Fluent in English
  • Write Sql queries to move from one side to another
  • SQL Reporting Services
  • Someone who's a consultant and throw in their two cents on how to get the job done
