Job description

We are looking for a talented and driven Business Intelligence Developer to enhance our reporting and analytic capabilities. The ideal candidate for this role will take charge of creating, evolving, and maintaining our BI environment. These responsibilities will enable our business users to make more informed decisions by leveraging advanced data analytics, compelling data visualization, and robust data modeling techniques. You will be key in transforming data into insights that drive our business strategies and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

              The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other related duties may be required and assigned.

  1. Configure and implement the BI platform and related systems, including integration with databases and data warehousing.
  2. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present complex data in an understandable and actionable format.
  3. Build and maintain data models to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of the data. Manage database performance, security, and integrity.
  4. Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources into a usable form for business analysis.
  5. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  6. Work closely with, and direct the work of consultants on projects as needed.
  7. Provide ongoing support and training to users on BI tools and data analytics.
  8. Perform regular maintenance and updates to existing BI solutions to enhance functionality and incorporate new data sources or analytics capabilities.
  9. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the data used for analysis. Implement data governance policies and practices, including security access and controls.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills: 

  • Strong knowledge of popular BI tools and software.
  • Experience in database management and data modeling, with a strong command of SQL.
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Prior experience with SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (SAP DWC), SAP DataSphere, etc. is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of programming languages for data analysis and manufacturing processes and supply chain concepts is a plus.
  • Certification in BI technologies or data analytics.

Ability to: 

  • Interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into non-technical terms.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • One to three years of proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist.

Physical/Safety Requirements: 

  • Tolerate extended periods of sitting at desk.
  • Ambient noise is louder than a traditional office setting.
