Job description

Job Summary:
The Morning Star Company is the largest independent producer of bulk tomato ingredient products in the world, operating multiple processing facilities in Central California. They are seeking a Dashboard and Report Developer to provide colleagues with accurate and timely reports, enhancing productivity through the development and maintenance of reporting products and dashboards.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Microsoft PowerBI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Design, develop, and maintain databases and store procedures using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studios (SSMS)
• Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources
• Manage the distribution of reports with scheduled and data driven subscriptions
• Work with limited database documentation to build accurate queries directly in SQL. This may require some reverse engineering of existing stored procedures and reports written by other colleagues and developers to fulfill requirements.
• Work with Business Unit colleagues to determine development needs for data automation, dashboards, and reporting requirements under tight timelines.
• Provides status reports that give a detailed description of the current projects progress and indicates time devoted to each task.
Qualifications:
Required:

• 1-3 years of experience designing and developing dashboards with MS PowerBI
• 1-3 years of MS SQL coding experience
Preferred:
• MS Fabric, Lakehouse, Notebook, and Semantic Modeling

• Query optimization, indexes, and performance tuning techniques
