Role : SQL DBA

Location :  Scottsdale AZ (100% Onsite)

Hire Type : Contract

End client  - Service base industry 

 Experience - 9+ years

We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize database systems. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance tuning, security, and reliability of SQL Server databases in a production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning strategies
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions like Always On, clustering, replication
  • Perform database backup and recovery operations
  • Manage database security, access control, and compliance
  • Troubleshoot database issues, bottlenecks, and failures
  • Plan and execute database upgrades and patches
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for deployments
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell)
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations and processes

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2016/2019/2022)
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
  • Experience in HA/DR solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication)
  • Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of backup/recovery strategies and database maintenance plans
