Job Title: Senior MS Access Database Developer

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Information Technology (IT) IT Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) and Financial Management Support Services position. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the BOB Financial Management Tool (FMT), which integrates MS Access with MariaDB in AWS.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Leads development, maintenance, and optimization of the MS Access front-end and AWS/MariaDB backend.
  • Manages forms, queries, reporting tables, automation, and ODBC connectivity.
  • Ensures reporting accuracy, daily refresh processes, performance tuning, and error resolution.
  • Oversees version control, data integrity, user support, and access/role management.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 8+ years MS Access development experience; expertise with MariaDB/MySQL.
  • Experience in federal IT financial data systems and reporting automation.
  • Strong SQL and database integration skills.
  • USDA experience preferred
