Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The EPC Sales Specialist will be responsible for supporting SPX FLOW sales objectives, specifically geared towards large project execution and developing relationships with EPC and Engineering firms.
The EPC Specialist must be able to objectively look at the overall picture and make decisions that are best for the entire company when faced with having to make decisions without consultation and will be expected to maintain good relations with all parties involved.
LOCATION: Candidates must live in or near Kansas City, MS, Houston, TX, or Wisconsin (up to 4 hours driving distance listed from the mentioned cities)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Increase sales to existing accounts
  • Expand relationships and networks within existing accounts
  • Share points of view and/or suggest innovative/creative ideas for customers
  • Implement key market initiatives working closely with the appropriate Global Product Manager(s) and SPX FLOW Sales Team.
  • Network with Engineering Firms and EPCs in search of new project and/or training opportunities.
  • Present to EPC companies, engineering firms, integrator/OEMs, & channel partners in support of Sales objectives to network, promote, and educate the customer on the features and benefits of SPX FLOW product lines, emphasizing:
  • Applying specific product lines into the customer's systems/specifications
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction as a primary objective
  • Maintain personal control over sales and delivery processes identified as top priorities by customer
  • Provide technical support and resolve problems (policy, performance, warranty, etc.). Provide answers to questions from customers.
  • Represent Company at trade shows and other professional activities.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Technical Resources to schedule and support Roadshow events.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits. Remain current with relevant internal and external training and development.
  • Plan daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules, prepare required reports, write correspondence, make appropriate telephone calls and file paperwork. Maintain contact with the responsible representatives in the Customer Service, Engineering, and Production Departments regarding customer related questions and concerns.
  • Regularly present project opportunities (scope, timeline, project value, win/loss probability) to SPX FLOW Sales Team.
  • Manage project opportunities from initial RFQ stage to on-site installation. Requires constant communication and coordination with Engineering, Customer Service, Production, Sales, and customer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of SPX FLOW and competitor product lines.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as unit conversions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Requires a valid automobile driver's license in the state of residence.
  • Requires detailed product knowledge to converse intelligently with EPCs and Engineering Firms.
  • Ability to represent the company and the product lines in a confident manner to maintain and increase sales volume.
  • Available to spend approximately 30-50% of overnight traveling.
  • Utilize CRM to manage funnel of opportunities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university in Chemical, Mechanical, or other related Engineering field as well as 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hand and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Travel is also required.
