Customer Delivery Driver

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: New Castle, DE (On-Site)
Department: Mobile Installation
Schedule: Monday–Friday, minimum 40-hour work week (Additional hours, including occasional Saturdays, may be required)

About the Role

Tire Rack is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Delivery Driver to support our Mobile Installation team by delivering tires, wheel and tire packages, and accessories directly to customers from our Mobile Installation location. This role is responsible for safely operating a delivery van, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service during every interaction.

The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety while representing Tire Rack in the field. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accountability for daily delivery routes and customer satisfaction.

What You'll DoDelivery Operations
  • Safely operate a Ford Transit delivery van to transport tires, wheels, wheel and tire packages, and accessories to customer locations.
  • Deliver products accurately and on schedule while following established delivery routes and procedures.
  • Return undeliverable products to the warehouse and assist with inventory reconciliation as needed.
Vehicle & Inventory Management
  • Work with warehouse associates to load, inventory, and organize products for daily deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and functional delivery vehicle, including performing basic preventive maintenance checks.
  • Ensure products are handled safely and securely throughout the delivery process.
Customer Service
  • Provide outstanding customer service during every delivery interaction.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding deliveries and answer basic questions as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with warehouse staff, managers, customer care associates, and other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Safety & Team Support
  • Drive defensively while complying with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Work independently while maintaining accountability for assigned routes and daily responsibilities.
  • Learn basic tire installation, mounting, and balancing procedures to support operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
  • DOT qualified or ability to obtain DOT qualification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong work ethic with dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage daily responsibilities.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous delivery driving or customer service experience.
  • Experience operating cargo or delivery vans.
  • Basic knowledge of tire installation, mounting, and balancing procedures.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
