Job description

Join the Team at Hotel Burg
Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Leesburg, Hotel Burg blends timeless charm with modern comfort, creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest. We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Part-Time Maintenance Technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems. If you're someone who notices the little details, likes working with your hands, and wants to help keep our hotel in excellent condition, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As our Maintenance Technician, you'll help ensure the hotel remains safe, functional, and welcoming for both guests and team members by:
  • Responding promptly to guest maintenance requests.
  • Performing preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
  • Completing minor plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, and general repair work.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing guestroom equipment and hotel fixtures.
  • Replacing light bulbs, air filters, electrical switches, outlets, and other building components.
  • Inspecting hotel systems and reporting maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory of maintenance supplies.
  • Communicating completed work and outstanding issues with the engineering team.
  • Assisting with seasonal and weather-related duties, including treating outdoor walkways during inclement weather.
  • Following all company safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
  • Providing friendly, professional service while interacting with guests and fellow associates.

What We're Looking For
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, facilities, or commercial buildings.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
  • This is a part-time position requiring availability every Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Consistent attendance during these scheduled days is essential, as you'll play a key role in maintaining the hotel and ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests and team members.
