Job description

Spring ISD is seeking 12 Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join their team for the upcoming school year. This is a high-demand opportunity with flexible hybrid scheduling and a variety of specialty roles available.

Start Date: August 12, 2026
Contract Length: 40 weeks
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Hybrid options available (4/1 or 3/2 models)
Interview: Virtual, includes scenario-based questions

Compensation:

  • Local: $60 per hour
  • Travel: Weekly take-home approx. $2,581 (includes housing and meals)
Position Overview

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy services to students in a school-based setting. The role supports student success by addressing communication needs and ensuring compliance with IEPs and state/federal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Provide direct and consultative services
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff and families
  • Maintain documentation and track student progress
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
Specialty Opportunities

The district is particularly interested in SLPs with experience or interest in:

  • AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
  • Dysphagia
  • Bilingual services
Requirements
  • Active SLP license in the state of assignment
  • CCC-SLP preferred
