NextGen Coating and Roofing Systems
Full-Time

Position Overview

NextGen Coating and Roofing Systems is seeking an experienced Spray Foam & Roof Coatings Foreman to lead commercial roofing and restoration projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled roofing professional with extensive experience in Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) roofing systems and commercial roof coatings.

The ideal candidate is a safety-focused leader who can effectively manage crews, maintain quality standards, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities

Crew Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor roofing crews on commercial roofing projects.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project timelines.
  • Train and develop team members on proper installation techniques and safety procedures.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety standards.

Spray Foam & Roof Coatings Application

  • Perform and oversee the installation of Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) roofing systems.
  • Apply silicone, acrylic, elastomeric, and other commercial roof coating systems.
  • Ensure proper substrate preparation including cleaning, pressure washing, priming, patching, and moisture evaluation.
  • Monitor application quality, coverage rates, and material thickness to meet manufacturer specifications.

Equipment Management

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plural-component spray rigs, proportioners, pumps, hoses, and spray guns.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and jobsite-ready.
  • Coordinate equipment and material needs with project management.

Quality Control & Project Oversight

  • Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Conduct inspections throughout each phase of the project.
  • Verify proper application procedures and compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, and site personnel regarding project progress and scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate jobsite documentation and reporting.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable experience as a Spray Foam Roofing Foreman
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Spray Foam roofing Application
  • Experience with commercial, industrial, and low-slope roofing systems required.
  • Experience with roof restoration, waterproofing, and coating applications preferred.

Certifications & Licensing

  • OSHA 10 Certification required.
  • OSHA 30 Certification strongly preferred.
  • Fall Protection Certification required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Clean driving record required.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, roofing specifications, and technical documents.
  • Experience troubleshooting spray equipment and jobsite issues.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high quality standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work at heights on ladders, lifts, and commercial rooftops.
  • Comfortable working on low-slope and flat roofing systems.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat.
  • Ability to wear PPE, including respirators and fall protection equipment, for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • SPFA (Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance) Certification.
  • Experience estimating projects, performing material takeoffs, or job costing.
  • Experience training and developing roofing crews.
  • Ownership of basic hand tools and reliable transportation.
