Machinist / Manufacturing Operator – Cleanroom EnvironmentJob Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machinist / Manufacturing Operator to support production operations in a regulated cleanroom manufacturing environment. This role involves operating computer-controlled machining equipment, performing inspections, maintaining documentation, and following GMP, ISO, FDA, and safety standards.

Candidates must be comfortable working with Cow Hide / Biological Material and operating in a full cleanroom gowning environment.

Pre-Screen Questions (Must Be Answered on Resume)
  • Must have sufficient verbal, reading, and writing skills in English.

  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with full body gowning.

  • Experience with chemical handling and safety procedures.

  • Able to comply with cleanroom requirements: no jewelry, makeup, hair spray, or perfume (only wedding bands allowed).

  • Comfortable working in a team environment.

  • OK working with Cow Hide / Biological Material.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate computer-controlled manufacturing equipment including:

    • Swiss lathes

    • Automated parts washers

    • Grinders

    • Honing equipment

    • Centerless grinders

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections according to print specifications.

  • Complete First Article Inspections (FAI).

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Record production and quality data accurately in manufacturing systems.

  • Support ISO, FDA, environmental, health, and safety compliance.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting on machinery and equipment.

  • Maintain productivity, quality, and dependability standards.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 0–3 years of manufacturing, production, machining, or operations experience.

  • Basic computer and mechanical skills.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Basic math skills including decimals and percentages.

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Citizen Lathes, Haas Grinders, Sunnen Hone, Centerless Grinders, or Fanuc Robotics.

  • Precision machining experience.

  • Experience inspecting and testing manufactured components.

  • Medical device manufacturing experience.

  • Experience in GMP or regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Experience using measurement tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, verniers, shadowgraphs, and gauges.
