Maintenance Mechanic / Fleet & Equipment Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on production equipment, fleet vehicles, and specialized machinery. This role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems, maintaining service records, and ensuring equipment reliability to support operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and repair fleet vehicle chassis and back-end systems to include chemical application equipment (tank, pump, spray).
  • Service forklifts, small engines, and specialized equipment (ride-on applicators, aerators, spreaders, etc.).
  • Document and submit all repairs and notes to be added to the vehicle file.
  • Maintain parts inventory as determined by management and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Coordinate and track outsourced maintenance with vendors and service providers.
  • Respond to vehicle and equipment breakdowns in the field as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-4 years of automotive mechanic experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Tennessee driver's license in good standing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
