Job Summary
  • The Spray Applicator measures, mixes, and applies various pesticides and fertilizers to assigned areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate spray equipment
  • Measure mixing agents to create necessary sprays for application
  • Apply various pesticides and fertilizers to maintain areas

      

Education and Experience:

  • Experience with chemical or spray applications
  • Must work under the direction and supervision of the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and Agronomic Technician
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Operate efficiently and safely at all times
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Ability to perform other cultural applications on a golf course as needed - assist with aerifications, applying seed to designated areas, sand topdressing applications

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Regular exposure to outside environment including rain, cold, sun, or night
  • Repetitive movement- standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, and stooping

Work Environment:

  • Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic
  • Work near or about natural bodies of water
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods
