What is a Spravato In provider?

A Spravato IN provider is a healthcare professional who is certified to administer Spravato (esketamine) nasal spray for treatment-resistant depression or depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder. Spravato is a prescription medication given under strict medical supervision in a certified healthcare setting due to its potential side effects and need for monitoring. The provider ensures patient eligibility, supervises administration, monitors for adverse reactions, and guides the overall treatment process.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Spravato In coordinator?

To thrive as a Spravato Coordinator, you need a solid background in healthcare administration, patient care coordination, and knowledge of psychiatric treatment protocols, often supported by relevant healthcare certifications or degrees. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, Spravato Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) requirements, and insurance verification tools is essential. Exceptional organizational skills, empathy, and effective communication help you manage patient scheduling, support, and compliance with treatment guidelines. These skills ensure safe and effective delivery of Spravato therapy while maintaining regulatory compliance and positive patient outcomes.

    Job description

Georgia Behavioral Health is hiring a TMS & SPRAVATO Technician in Norcross, GA.

We run a treatment-resistant depression clinic offering TMS therapy, SPRAVATO® (esketamine), and IV ketamine under one roof. We are one of the few practices in north Atlanta doing all three, and the patients who come to us have usually tried everything else first.

That makes this role different from a standard MA or front-desk position. You will be with the same patients several times a week over the course of a full treatment series, and you will own the insurance and authorization work that determines whether their treatment starts on time and stays uninterrupted.

    What you will do

    • Administer and coordinate TMS and SPRAVATO® treatments per provider direction, clinical protocol, and REMS program requirements
    • Monitor patients during and after treatment, and escalate side effects or clinical concerns to the provider
    • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, deductibles, copays, and treatment-specific coverage requirements
    • Initiate, track, and complete prior authorizations, including denials, appeals, and medical necessity documentation
    • Coordinate with specialty pharmacies on prescriptions, deliveries, refills, and patient-specific orders
    • Schedule and confirm appointments and maintain documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW)
    • Monitor authorization and medication timelines so no patient loses continuity of care
    • Answer patient questions professionally and route clinical concerns to the right provider

    What we are looking for

    • Prior authorization and insurance verification experience (required)
    • Background in a medical, behavioral health, psychiatric, or specialty treatment setting
    • Direct patient communication experience
    • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail under time pressure
    • Comfort on the phone with insurance companies and specialty pharmacies
    • Proficiency with EHR and scheduling systems
    • Current BLS certification
    • A professional, compassionate, patient-first approach and a firm commitment to HIPAA compliance

    Nice to have

    • Hands-on TMS and/or SPRAVATO® experience
    • eClinicalWorks (eCW)
    • Experience with denials, appeals, and medical necessity documentation
    • Specialty medication coordination

Compensation: $20.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience and relevant certifications.

Why this role matters: interventional psychiatry is one of the fastest growing areas in mental health care, and the technician role is where patients spend most of their treatment time. If you want to build real clinical skill in TMS and esketamine while working directly with a board certified psychiatrist, this is a strong place to do it.
