Job description

Position Summary:
The Analytics Systems Specialist plays a critical role in supporting operational, clinical, and strategic decision-making at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. This role is responsible for building and maintaining dashboards, managing data integrations between systems, and providing analytical support for strategic planning and all levels of leadership. This position requires a blend of technical, analytical, and communication skills, and thrives in a dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Dashboard Development and Maintenance: Design, deploy, and maintain business intelligence dashboards to provide actional strategic and operational insights for hospital leadership
  • Regulatory and Operational Tracking: Create and manage tools to track COPNs, equipment inventory, and other regulated data
  • Strategic Support: Assist with the preparation and maintenance of strategic planning documents, trackers, and Board and Executive-level presentations
  • Reporting Management: Monitor schedules and update recurring reporting packages and deliverables
  • Data Integration and Quality: Run, monitor, and troubleshoot data integration processes between platforms (i.e. EMR to HPM, HPM to Tibco Spotfire, etc.) as needed
  • Business Planning and Program Evaluation: Support the development of business plans for new initiatives and perform lookbacks to assess programmatic performance and outcomes as needed
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and perform basic troubleshooting of errors in data sets, dashboards, and integrations
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other internal stakeholders to support data-driven initiatives and other projects as assigned

Qualifications:
Education: Requires a bachelor's degree preferably in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business Administration or related.
Experience:
  • 4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or healthcare analytics required.
  • Healthcare data systems, EMRs, and BI tools such as Tibco Spotfire or Tableau preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory reporting and data tracking preferred.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Skills:
  • Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases
  • Knowledge in General Accounting, Cost Accounting, IT DBA, and Business/Data Analytics
  • Familiarity with COPN applications or regulated healthcare data processes
