What is spot welding?

Spot welding is a type of resistance welding used to join two or more metal sheets together by applying pressure and heat to a small area, or 'spot,' using copper alloy electrodes. The process involves passing a high current through the metals at the point of contact, creating enough heat to fuse them. Spot welding is commonly used in the automotive and manufacturing industries because it is fast, efficient, and produces strong welds with minimal distortion. It is especially effective for joining sheet metals of various thicknesses.
