Job description

Minimum Qualifications High school or GED preferred; some college courseworkand/or directly related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Working knowledge of recreation activities; of rules of play, equipment, and techniques of various sports and recreational activities. Ability to follow oral and written instructions; to communicate effectively; to interact with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds and of varying ages; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.

We have a great opportunity for you. River City Sportsplex is a 115-acre, multi-sport athletic complex with one of the largest collections of synthetic turf fields in the United States. Our state-of-the-art facility features multiple lighted synthetic athletic fields available for year-round use by residents and tournament participants for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey and many other sports.

Under general supervision, the Operations/Event staff duties include but are not limited to, monitoring rentals, specials events and tournaments at the complex, moving goals according to field rentals schedule, provide parking assistance when needed; responsible for trash removal and the overall cleanliness of the facility including restrooms; provide customer service to event attendees and event staff; performing light maintenance on fencing, and goal netting; responsible for the proper opening and/or closing procedures of River City Sportsplex. Perform assigned assessment reports of facility, fields and equipment when assigned. Perform other work as required.
