Job description

About Carv
Carv is on a mission to unlock the enjoyment of better skiing. We use AI, real-time feedback, and sensor-driven data to help skiers to measure technique and coach them to improve. Our team is building industry-pioneering software that bridges the gap between technology and human performance.
We're looking for a product-minded, inquisitive and inventive Senior Rust Engineer to drive the development of the core of Carv's coaching across Android and iOS, and expand and maintain our backend infrastructure.
If you love building products that push the limits of what's possible with real-time experiences on constrained devices, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
  • Own the Rust codebase from architecture to implementation
  • Maintain and scale our infrastructure on Google Cloud
  • Work closely with designers, product managers and skiers to build category defining coaching experiences
  • Implement real-time coaching features powered by AI and sensor data, and test these on the ski slope
  • Stay on top of industry trends and Rust advancements and adopt the latest best practices

What We're Looking For
  • A passionate skier, beginner skiers welcome
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain scalable codebases in Rust/go/c++ or similar languages
  • Commercial experience with Rust/go/C++ or similar languages in production
  • Relentless bias for action
  • Track-record of excelling in a small-team environment, even better if at a start-up

Why Join Carv?
  • Work on a game-changing product that combines AI, biomechanics, and coaching
  • Autonomy and impact-you'll be a key player in shaping the future of digital sports training
  • Opportunity to work from our Innsbruck office where you can ski with fully subsidised ski tickets
