Job description

Seeking BE/BC full-time Radiologist to join team in NE Utah. Medical Center manages the physicians practice so that you able to see your patients and leave the rest to us. Radiology team has one full time radiologist that is musculoskeletal fellowship trained and six additional part time radiologists that read remotely. Team also has a part time PA that performs some interventional procedures. The Hospital has an additional campus in Vernal that services a stand alone ED as well as a full complement of radiology modalities, ie., 1.5 tesla MRI, 64 slice CT, digital radiology, and ultrasound. The hospital would like to add mammography screenings and dexa at the Vernal location, but needs the second radiologist to do so. The radiology department is generating approximately 36,000 wRVUs annually.
The hospital operates as a 501-C-3 not-for-profit hospital and generously donates to and supports community functions.

  • Review diagnostic images to diagnose and treat illnesses
  • Provide timely interpretation of MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography screenings, and digital radiology studies for both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Ensure proper documentation of all radiology images
  • Collaborate with fellow radiologists and other Hospital physicians
  • Work with radiology manager to provide evaluation of performance of radiology technicians
  • Maintain and improve radiology department s quality assurance and turn-around-time standards
  • Maintain medical and professional knowledge, CME and licenses
  • Attend medical staff and other meetings as required
