GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Sports Director/Senior Program Director, the Event Staff/Site Supervisor will ensure a quality experience and a positive environment by providing remarkable member experiences for Youth Sports.
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience Requirements:
  1. Minimum age of 18
  2. Relevant knowledge of rules for sport associated with youth program

Physical/Mental Requirements:
  1. Must be able to frequently perform the following physical activities; bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, stand for extended periods of time, walk, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and communicate verbally and have adequate hearing
  2. Must be able to perform work both indoors and out and be exposed to prevalent weather conditions
  3. Must possess ability to remain alert and maintain concentration for long periods of time to ensure quality scorekeeping
  4. Must possess ability to make independent and sound decisions in a rapidly changing environment
  5. Must be able to show initiative in the absence of supervision
  6. Must be able to relate to and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner
  7. Must be able to handle questions/concerns and resolve conflicts in a courteous and professional manner
  8. Must maintain a neat and professional appearance

Job Requirements:
  1. Commitment to the YMCA mission, vision and values
  2. Must attend New Employee Orientation within 30 days of hire
  3. Complete CPR/AED, First Aid, and O2 in accordance with Conditions of Employment
  4. Understand and abide-by all policies and procedures as set forth by the association
  5. Work a schedule that reflects the needs of the branch

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Responsible for setting-up and tearing-down all event equipment and/or spaces.
  2. Ensuring all events start and end on time, as scheduled.
  3. Ensuring the safety and security of the facility for all participants.
  4. Ensuring facility cleanliness at all times.
  5. Assisting in traffic and crowd control during events.
  6. Reporting any facility or equipment irregularities, unsafe conditions or feedback to supervisor in writing.
  7. Following and enforcing all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
  8. Reporting all incidents/accidents on the appropriate form as required and provide to supervisor within 24 hours of event.
  9. Attending all required training sessions and scheduled meetings.
  10. Maintain prompt hours and follow established procedures for absences.
  11. Supporting Strong Community Campaign fundraising.
  12. All other duties as assigned.
