Job description

The RCX Sports Foundation works to develop, promote, and implement diversity and inclusion in youth sports as the non-profit arm of RCX Sports. The foundation focuses on expanding youth sports opportunities so all children can experience athletics in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. No child's circumstance in life should ever keep them from the lifelong benefits of sports. Sports for all.

As a League Coordinator for you RCX Sports Foundation you will support the daily operations of multiple youth sports leagues operating NFL FLAG, Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Leagues, MLS GO, USTA Youth Tennis, or NHL Street leagues. You will be responsible for ensuring all leagues are organized and maintained in order to provide a high-quality experience for our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daily operations of RCX Sports Foundation youth sports leagues and maintain quality standards set by the foundation and our partners
  • Organize league calendar and schedule dates for your region's leagues (season dates, coaches' meetings, tournaments)
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of field rentals, league agreements, and corresponding payments
  • Execute and oversee team formation process, including setup and maintenance of the online registration system
  • Maintain regular communication with Customer Service Representatives to handle customer issues and prepare league communications
  • Collaborate with RCX Sports People Operations team to hire, onboard, train, and support on-site staff members for your assigned leagues
  • Coordinate with external partners for on-site personnel and event needs, including officials' assignors, league photographers, and other contacts essential for successful game day operations
  • Support league expansion by analyzing weekly performance, developing participation goals, creating solutions for customer satisfaction, and increasing player retention
  • Prepare regular field, registration, and customer service reports for regional management
  • Perform additional League Operations tasks to support the foundation as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (Bachelor's in Sports Management or related field preferred)
  • At least 1 year of professional customer service and league operations experience with proven success in addressing customer concerns promptly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to build authentic, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically under pressure while managing multiple tasks across various systems with different deadlines
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented approach
  • A passionate commitment to improving the accessibility and inclusivity of youth sports

Additional Position Details:

  • Travel Expectations: Less than 10%
  • Department: RCX Sports Foundation
  • Reports to: League Operations Manager
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Seasonal, Part-Time, On-Site Staff
  • Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday (schedule may vary in-season with weekend support needed)
  • Compensation Structure: Starting salary range $42,000/year - $44,000/year. Salary (Paid weekly), FLSA-Nonexempt (Overtime Eligible). Our pay grades are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus & benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, 401(k), Paid Parental Leave, Unlimited PTO, Monthly Wellness Expense Reimbursement and additional voluntary benefits.
  • Location: Hybrid - Sylvan Lake, MI - This position will be a hybrid role working 2 days per week out of the RCX Sports office in Sylvan Lake, MI
