Internship Opportunity: Sports Intern  

Location: Nashville, TN

In-Person Internship Requirement: Applicants must be based in Nashville, TN or the surrounding area, as this role requires in-person attendance.

The Familie is a music and sports agency representing top talent across the entertainment and athletic industries. Headquartered in Nashville, The Familie also has offices in Los Angeles, Scottsdale, and San Diego. We offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated college student to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of talent management.

Position Overview:

The Sports Intern at The Familie will support the day-to-day operations of the Team Sports Division, gaining hands-on experience in client management, marketing, and business development. Interns will assist with social media planning and execution, NIL outreach, marketing research, and general business tasks that contribute to the success of our athletes and agency initiatives.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in the business side of sports to build real-world experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Interns will work closely with agents and staff on active projects and will be exposed to the inner workings of a leading sports and entertainment agency.

Please note this is an unpaid internship and eligible for academic credit.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide recruiting support for Team Sports and NIL through prospect research and database management
  • Assist with internal sports initiatives through outreach, research, and project coordination
  • Support analytics projects by tracking performance, summarizing data, and preparing insights for athlete marketing and recruiting
  • Assist with social media planning and content development for client brands
  • Conduct research on prospective clients, market trends, and partnership opportunities
  • Contribute to off-season planning, activations, and athlete engagement initiatives
  • Assist in creative services, including updating decks, one-sheets, and internal materials
  • Participate in team and client meetings, taking notes and assisting with follow-up tasks
  • Perform administrative and operational tasks such as scheduling, file organization, and general correspondence

Details:

Duration: September 14 - November 25

Hours: 12-18 hours weekly

Compensation: Unpaid; eligible for academic credit

In-Office Requirement: Interns are expected to be onsite 2-3 days per week

  • Must be enrolled in a university and continue to be enrolled for the duration of the internship
