Job Description

The Performance Nutrition Coordinator in collegiate athletics is responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of onsite food and beverage stations that supply athletes before, during, and after training and competition. The role blends sports nutrition expertise with food service management and customer service

Job Responsibilities

Daily athlete service at primary and satellite fueling stations.

Inventory control: monitoring stock, placing vendor orders, reconciling deliveries, and maintaining par levels.

Sports Nutrition Intern Program: recruiting, orienting, and scheduling interns for seasonbased coverage.

Food safety compliance: ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health regulations across multiple stations.

Collaboration with sports dietitians, vendors, and athletics staff.

Customer service and promoting the athletics program's nutrition philosophy.

Nutrition knowledge (including sports fueling principles).

Operational management (scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination).

Food safety awareness and compliance with NCAA, university, and state regulations.

Interpersonal skills for athlete and staff engagement.

Technical skills in Microsoft Office and iPad-based systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, food service, or related field (preferred in dietetics or sports nutrition).

Food Handler's permit and often

ServSafe certification.Experience with purchasing platforms (e.g., US Foods, VISTAR) and inventory systems.

Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
