Job description

2026 Primary Care Physician needed in Oswego, New YorkLocated 20 miles from Syracuse; 70 miles from Rochester; 150 miles from BuffaloPosition Details:

  • Full time, permanent opening
  • Seeking a Primary Care Physician for a new practice opening in late-Summer/early Fall 2026
  • Schedule: Office open Monday-Friday, 7:00a-5:00p; 40-hours per week; group is open to 4 or 5 days a week
  • 3-year employment agreement with guaranteed base salary for length of contract
  • Not a J1 eligible position due to clinic location in Onondaga County
  • Board Certified with 5+ years-experience in outpatient Primary Care setting
  • Comfortable supervising Advanced Practice Clinicians (anticipate 2-APCs)
  • Anticipated high volume practice: volume: 20-25 ppd (8-hour day) or 25-30 ppd (10-hour day)
  • Good payor mix: Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, sliding
  • Office Call Required: Call is shared among anticipated 26-providers and is very light, phone only; no rounding or inpatient services required however if a family practice provider is interested in hospitalist shifts, this can be arranged on a per diem basis
  • Practice Staffing Model: Increased census; looking to increase primary care footprint in Northern Onondaga County where we currently pull 10% of our patient population
  • Types of Procedures/Cases: Family practice: chronic disease management, adult medicine, well child visits, hypertension, diabetes, etc.; there is no OB, some GYN; no sports medicine
  • Compensation and Benefits:
  • Highly competitive salary ($275k + wRVU)
  • Sign-on bonus ($25k), reimbursement for relocation (up to $10k with receipts) and student loans ($30k over length of contract) (if applicable)
  • Competitive paid time off and CME time off (34 days including 6 legal holidays)
  • Comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 403B, life and disability
  • Annual CME, dues and licensure reimbursement ($5,500)
