Job description

The Media & Promotions Manager will lead Resonance Baseball’s content creation, social-media presence and promotional efforts.

This person will document training, athletes, events and the culture surrounding Resonance. They will then turn that material into compelling content that strengthens the brand, attracts athletes, promotes events and helps create meaningful relationships with families, sponsors and the surrounding baseball community.

This is not simply a position for someone who posts on social media. We are looking for someone who can recognize a meaningful story, capture it well and communicate why it matters.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Film training sessions, athlete features, events and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Photograph athletes, coaches, the facility and special events
  • Edit short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube
  • Produce occasional long-form athlete stories, interviews and promotional videos
  • Manage Resonance Baseball’s social-media accounts
  • Develop and maintain a consistent content calendar
  • Write captions and promotional copy in the established Resonance voice
  • Create graphics, flyers, announcements and digital promotional materials
  • Promote memberships, assessments, camps, Pro Days and special events
  • Help develop promotional campaigns that generate inquiries and registrations
  • Coordinate outreach to local media, baseball organizations and community partners
  • Assist with sponsor outreach, sponsor recognition and partnership promotion
  • Organize and maintain photographs, video footage and other digital assets
  • Track content performance, audience growth, inquiries and registrations
  • Provide a concise monthly report identifying what is working and what should improve
  • Maintain consistency across the Resonance visual identity, messaging and overall presentation

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience in content creation, digital marketing, sports media, photography, videography or a related field
  • A strong understanding of baseball and sports culture
  • Ability to film and edit high-quality vertical video
  • Experience with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube
  • Working knowledge of editing and design programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Photoshop or Canva
  • Strong writing, storytelling and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, sponsors and community partners
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when important training sessions or events occur
  • Ability to travel locally when necessary

A degree is not required. A strong portfolio, reliability, creativity and an understanding of the Resonance mission will carry more weight than formal credentials.

Preferred Experience

  • Sports videography or photography
  • Baseball-specific content creation
  • College athletics, professional sports, minor-league sports or athletic communications
  • Social-media campaign management
  • Event promotion
  • Email marketing
  • Paid social-media advertising
  • Sponsorship or community-partnership development
  • Drone operation and FAA Part 107 certification

Equipment

Applicants should identify the camera, audio, lighting and editing equipment they currently own or regularly use. Access to professional equipment is preferred, but Resonance may provide certain tools based on the selected candidate’s experience and needs.

What Success Looks Like

The right person will help Resonance:

  • Establish a consistent and recognizable media presence
  • Tell athlete and organizational stories with authenticity
  • Increase awareness throughout East Texas and the broader baseball community
  • Generate qualified membership and event inquiries
  • Successfully promote Pro Days, camps and other events
  • Build stronger relationships with athletes, families, sponsors and community partners
  • Create an organized library of professional, reusable media
  • Preserve the thoughtful, disciplined and understated character of the Resonance brand

How to Apply

Please submit:

  • A résumé or brief professional background
  • A portfolio or links to relevant photographs, videos and social-media work
  • A short explanation of why you are interested in Resonance Baseball
  • A description of your experience with baseball or sports
  • Your general weekly availability
  • A list of the content-production equipment and editing software you use

Selected applicants may be invited to complete a paid trial project before a longer-term agreement is offered.

Resonance Baseball is an equal-opportunity employer. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, experience, character and the ability to perform the responsibilities of the position.
