Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary:

Villanova Athletics is seeking student production assistants to help with video content creation, live streaming, photography, graphic design or photography.

ESPN+ Live streaming: Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): producer, director, operate video switcher, camera operator, provide production support, video engineer and other duties as assigned by supervisor. Live streaming events take place at Villanova Stadium, Higgins Soccer Complex, Finneran Pavilion, Jake Nevin Field House, Villanova Softball Complex, Proving Grounds in Conshohocken & Villanova Baseballl Park at Plymouth Meeting. If interested - serve as on-air talent for live streaming events. New for the 2025-26, Villanova Athletics will be streaming Olympic Sporting events to ESPN+.

Video content creation: Assist in developing unique and exciting videos (hype videos, postgame reports, press conference recaps, previews, other non-live content) for various outlets, including but not limited to Villanova.com, Villanova Athletics Youtube, Villanova Athletics social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), Villanova Athletics videoboards and Villanova Sports Network.

Graphic Design / Photography: Assisting in developing digital media graphics and photography content for various outlets listed above.

Requirements:

Training available, but experience is preferred. Evening and weekend hours are constant throughout the year and are a major requirement for employment.

Efficient / ability to learn in Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut X

Experience in Live Sport Productions

Social Media savvy

Background/experience in Post Production

Passion for college athletics

Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Knowledge of JVC Pro Cameras, and Filming Live Events

Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure

Efficient / ability to learn Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom & Illustrator

Physical Demands Summary:

Production assistants will be on each game or shoot (as their class schedule permits) to help transport gear, set up, assist during production, tear down, and load gear back to the office.
