Overview
Overview:
Central point for all Verizon sports deals. Negotiate sponsorship deals, allocate, manage added value and work closely with the larger Investment team to maintain, and steward National Video Sports media buys.
Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and purchase National Video Sports sponsorship activity (linear + digital)
  • Maintain current knowledge of marketplace conditions through network meetings and trade publications
  • Help oversee timeline and execution of added value opportunities
  • Oversee, train and mentor Associate Director
  • Work closely with the brand Investment teams to manage schedules, delivery, budgets and traffic
  • Align with clients and brand teams to allocate multi-brand properties
  • Contribute to post-analysis reports
  • Communicate regularly with salespeople and negotiate to maintain or improve the integrity of the buys as they are stewarded
  • Advise supervisors of marketplace conditions, special opportunities, and potential schedule interruptions
  • Contribute to Upfront decks
  • Provide insight/expertise to client and Investment/Planning teams on Sports marketplace
  • Attend weekly meetings (clients and internal)
  • Mentor media trainees within the group
  • Meet all due dates for buys, post analyses, and assigned projects; help team set up project deadlines to achieve all timelines

Qualifications
  • B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • Agency and sports sponsorships experience highly preferred
  • 8+ years of experience working in a national media investment buying environment
  • Experience negotiating TV dayparts and online video
  • Strong negotiating and presenting skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Media Ocean software (DDS, MBOX) preferred

Compensation Range: USD $121,315.00 - USD $160,000.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
